Pass The Cape
Pass The Cape is an idea that came about through years of collaboration between Marcus Painter, Chris Young, and fellow teachers from around the state of Indiana. On the surface, Pass The Cape is a way of celebrating teachers and their daily heroism. However, when you look more closely, Pass The Cape is all about the cycle of education. If we, as educators, make our students believe they are heroic and can do great things, WE must believe the same things about ourselves. Thus, the cycle of education rolls on.
Pass The Cape is an integral part of the message that we convey in our keynotes to educators. It’s quite simple. Pass The Cape is an opportunity to shine a light of positivity on what educators do, make them the stars, show them how others feel about the value of their work. In so doing, that educator gets to “pass the cape” to a fellow teacher, and on it goes!
